Our client is a manufacturer of specialty engineering materials used across various industries. They are seeking a Plant Engineering Manager for their facility in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate should enjoy hands-on involvement in plant operations and technical troubleshooting. This role offers strong potential for future promotion into Plant Management. Keywords:
Engineering Manager, Chemical Engineer, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Mechanical Engineer, PSM, Operations, Plant Engineering Manager, Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager The responsibilities of the Plant Engineering Manager include, but are not limited to: Owning and being accountable for all plant assets; managing capital budget and maintenance expenses Managing capital projects as the project manager Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success Coordinating with vendors for equipment and materials procurement, evaluating product quality Supervising maintenance resources and activities Planning workforce utilization, preventive maintenance, and optimizing workflow and layout for efficiency Providing technical advice and conducting engineering analyses for projects, including design, cost, and lifecycle considerations Improving manufacturing controls and automation, leveraging instrumentation and controls expertise Implementing engineering controls to ensure consistent production processes Salary Range: Up to $145,000 plus 15% annual bonus #LI-BK1 Job Code: 32.24BK Job Requirements
Qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering Minimum of 5 years in plant maintenance, engineering, or project engineering within chemicals, paper manufacturing, or similar industries Experience with Programmable Logic Control, DeltaV DCS, HMI, and automation systems Strong leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Engineer in Training Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license #LI-BK1 Job Code: 32.24BK *Due to high application volume, only qualified candidates will be contacted.
