The role involves the fabrication and validation of critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical assembly, and flight Ground Support Equipment. This position requires adherence to flight drawings, procedures, quality standards, and internal training.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and validate critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical assembly and flight Ground Support Equipment. Assist engineers in manufacturing and testing flight/prototype hardware and developing test infrastructure. Document assembly and test procedures. Identify and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality assurance teams. Ensure production equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner in collaboration with facilities and maintenance teams. Work with manufacturing engineering to optimize manufacturing orders and ensure process instructions are understood.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Experience in production and assembly, including soldering. Current Solder, Harnessing/Crimping certification to J or NASA-Standards. Ability to work from diagrams, drawings, and detailed procedures. Experience operating both electrical and non-electrical manufacturing equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools. Experience working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, and other commonly used chemicals in manufacturing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
