Data Architecture & Design Validate and enhance the existing architecture and design for a newly built enterprise data warehouse (EDW) Collaborate with leadership to drive decisions around structure, scalability, and performance Contribute both strategic input and hands-on execution throughout the platform build Data Infrastructure & Pipeline Development Design, build, and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data tools Support high-volume data ingestion and transformation within Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server Ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance across data workflows Data Warehousing Help establish core EDW structures from the ground up Implement best practices in partitioning, indexing, and data modeling to ensure scalability Optimize for analytical and reporting performance Database Management Manage and maintain SQL Server environments Ensure data quality, governance, and security protocols are upheld Work closely with SAP data as part of the integration strategy Data Integration & Transformation Integrate data from various systems including SAP and other business applications Perform data cleansing, modeling, and enrichment tasks Leverage APIs and connectors to unify disparate datasets Governance & Documentation Adhere to data governance and compliance requirements Maintain technical documentation, process flows, and architectural decisions Collaboration & Support Partner with business analysts, data consumers, and IT stakeholders to align on data needs Provide support, mentoring, and guidance to other engineering team members as needed Performance Optimization Monitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks Identify opportunities to improve cost-efficiency and scalability Qualifications
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field—or equivalent experience Proven experience in data engineering with a track record of contributing to data warehouse architecture and build-outs Experience working in Microsoft-centric environments, especially with Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server Prior work with SAP data sources is a strong plus Technical Skills Strong command of T-SQL and data modeling concepts Familiarity with cloud-based data services (Azure, Microsoft Fabric) Experience with data pipeline tools like Azure Data Factory or similar platforms Preferred: exposure to Power BI, Git, or Python scripting
