Primary Responsibilities

Create detailed designs of water and wastewater pumping systems, pressurized pipelines, and gravity pipelines under instruction from the Project Engineer and Project Manager.

Prepare plans for pipelines and pumping stations, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work collaboratively with the owner design team members.

Assist with Construction Administration including shop drawing reviews and field inspections.

Perform other duties as needed.

Collaborative design development is key to our continued success. Applicants should expect to be in the office at least four days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.

Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.

Interest and experience designing water/wastewater pumping and conveyance systems.

Proficiency in technical report writing.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Experience with hydraulic calculations for pump and/or pipeline sizing.

Experience with AutoCAD, Google Earth, and/or ArcGIS.

Experience with GIS.

Adept writing skills.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.

Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.

AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience.

Microsoft Office experience.

Ability to work in a team environment.

The salary range for Colorado is $61,215.00 - $87,450.00, depending on skills, experience, education, and location.
