DevSecOps Engineer
will join our highly talented engineering team in creating the next generation of AlertMedia products and services. This role is critical to our success and includes ensuring all our applications and services are secure and protected. Who you are: You are an accomplished DevOps Engineer who is comfortable building services and infrastructure in AWS, writing IaC code, creating CICD pipelines, and generally managing a complex environment in the cloud.At the same time, you bring a security-first mindsetand enjoy embedding security best practices all along the way. You don’t just run scanners and point out security findings – you proactively address findings and help architect services to be secure by design. You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment working cross-functionally with other Engineers and management. You have experience implementing security best practices into engineering environments and can identify weaknesses and implement solutions for complex problems. What you get to do every day: Become an expert in the AlertMedia platform and tools, and its uses for our customers Work with ECS, EC2, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambdas, CloudFormation, Docker, Linux, and continuous deployment tools. Work with tools like Terraform and Terragrunt to manage Infrastructure as Code Manage a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure that cannot fail during critical local, national, and global events. Continually evaluate the security of our systems and applications, with an emphasis on data security Assess and integrate emerging AI technologies into our Engineering and Security workflows and processes Work with the team to determine tool requirements, then drive the implementation, documentation, maintenance, and improvement Work in an Agile based environment using tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack Contribute to the technology lead that AlertMedia has over other solutions through innovative development and by helping contribute new ideas related to leveraging technology in our product line Research and understand cyber security threats, actors, trends, and attack vectors Work with the Engineering & Security teams to continually improve security tools, process, and procedures Implement cyber security best practices in a SaaS platform Implement and manage SAST/DAST tools Work closely with talented engineering teams to ensure best security practices Contribute to AlertMedia’s culture, values, and vision for the future What you bring to the role: 5+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services) 3+ years of experience in a dedicated DevSecOps Engineering role Experience with network, infrastructure, container orchestration, and application security best practices Strong expertise with Linux, Docker, containerization, and networking fundamentals Comfortable writing IaC code Well versed in securing multiple AWS accounts and environments (managing access between accounts for users and some resources) Experience with security automation tools (SAST, DAST, CSMP, etc.) Experience implementing “shift left” principles in CI/CD environments Knowledge of authentications technologies (SAML, OAuth) Proficiency in at least one coding language (Python is a plus) Strong organizational skills and ability to manage working on multiple projects in parallel The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment Position is open for remotelocation except for in the followingstates:Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, U.S. territories This role is not open to sponsorship.
