Job Overview Payroll & Benefits Analyst 33617

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Analyst to manage and enhance our payroll operations and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), experience with system implementations, and advanced Excel skills. This role will also support cross-functional projects, ensure compliance, and contribute to process improvements across payroll and benefits. Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll for multi-state employees accurately and on time using UKG. Perform payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger reporting. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including payroll tax filings and garnishments. Support the implementation and optimization of payroll and benefits systems, especially within UKG. Administer and troubleshoot benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans. Manage benefits setup during open enrollment and new hire onboarding, including vendor coordination. Maintain and audit employee records to ensure accuracy in payroll, benefits, and tax data. Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas) to analyze payroll data and generate reports. Partner with HR and Finance to support month-end and year-end processes, including reporting and audits. Lead or contribute to payroll and benefits-related projects, including systems implementation, policy enhancements, and compliance audits.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field preferred. 35+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration Strong knowledge of UKG (UltiPro) required. Experience with system implementation or optimization is highly preferred. Proficiency in advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is essential. Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and multi-state payroll processing. Strong understanding of garnishments, tax withholding, and benefit deductions. Experience with journal entries and general ledger integration.
