STAFF ACCOUNTANT
National property management/real estate company offering an opportunity to join the corporate office in West Los Angeles with a team of dedicated professionals. Our family owned business has been at the top of our industry for over 40 years and are looking for the best of the best to join our team. The ideal candidate will have Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years accounting experience, preferably in real estate, and an enthusiastic, positive attitude. This person will oversee and manage the entire accounting process through month end closing for approx. 5 legal entities. The position will work closely with out of state community management teams in preforming daily cash transactions, monthly financial reports, and assist in annual budgetary process. Will prepare year-end tax packages for outside CPA firm.
Responsibilities include: • Month-end closing process, including preparation and booking of journal entries and distributes month end financial reporting • Assists with budgeting and forecasting • Analyze and report variances of actual versus budget • Daily cash accounting and monthly bank reconciliation • Review invoice & payment entry prepared by A/P Staff • Proactive in problem solving • Provide financial analysis and support for executive managements’ decision making of company operations • Maintain positive relationship and support out of state managers • Good organizational, oral, and written communication skills • Flexible and adaptable working in a team environment • Computer knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, and familiar with general accounting and property management accounting software; Sage Timberline and Rent Manager a plus • Perform special projects as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
