Indianapolis, IN About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to take the lead in building and shaping the engineering function of their new office from the ground up. This is a rare chance to be the first senior hire on-site, with genuine ownership, strategic influence, and the entrepreneurial freedom to define the engineering culture, processes, and technical direction from day one. You’ll have the exciting challenge of combining startup-style autonomy with the stability and resources of an established, well-funded organization. The projects are impactful, technically challenging, and offer significant scope for innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead the launch and growth of the Indianapolis engineering team. Shape technical direction, workflows, and team culture. Oversee and deliver high-quality, complex MEP projects. Collaborate closely with leadership to align technical execution with business objectives. Mentor and develop engineering talent as the team grows. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in a senior engineering or leadership role within the MEP industry. Strong technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering disciplines. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build processes and teams from the ground up. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to thrive in both a hands-on technical role and a strategic leadership capacity.
