We are a full service CPA firm located in Emerson, NJ. We offer a wide range of accounting and tax services. Currently looking to fill an on-site STAFF ACCOUNTANT to join our team!
Must have the ability to work on multiple clients as we are a Certified Public Accounting Firm servicing many business and personal clients OR have prior public accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare/ input accounting data, reconcile monthly bank statements to general ledger. posting adjusting entries. Input data into Thomson Reuters Accounting system (will train) Good working knowledge of QuickBooks - both desk top and online versions. Prepare financial statements as needed, finalize trial balances at year for business tax return reporting Perform Compilation, Reviews and Audits of the financial statements for those clients requiring year end financial statements. Additional financial reporting as requested. Sales tax reporting (monthly & quarterly) Payroll (after the fact) reporting and quarterly filing for those payroll processed in house. Tax preparation experience a plus Qualifications: Previous experience in accounting or other related fields Fundamental knowledge of GAAP Knowledge in and experience with QuickBooks online and desk tops versions, bank downloads, etc. Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Willingness to learn Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting software (training to be provided) and other software programs as needed. Must be able to commute to office every day and occasional client visits. Organized, attentive, detail and deadline-oriented Willingness to work overtime and/or Saturdays as needed during tax season
