UC Riverside's Planning, Budget & Administration is recruiting for a Senior Human Resources Generalist. The full salary range for the Sr. HR Generalist is $75,900 - $137,300 annually. The expected pay scale of this position is up to $91,250 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. The Senior Human Resources Generalist is part of the Administrative Services and Strategic Executive Team (ASSET) and serves as a senior generalist supporting the Planning, Budget & Administration (PB&A) organization. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources & HRBP, the Sr. HR Generalist is responsible for a variety of human resources duties in support of organizational management. The position advises and provides consultation to management on workforce planning, salary actions, job descriptions and recruitment. Additionally, this position will be the first point of contact for employee and labor relations activity within the organizational units supported. The position also gathers and analyzes human resources data for PB&A management, as well as for the Office of the Vice Chancellor. As part of a dynamic team, this position is characterized by a high degree of collaboration and coordination in the delivery of HR services to support the PB&A organization, partnering with central Human Resources, PB&A departments, ASSET PWA - our payroll shared services unit, and other centralized university units. Minimum Requirements

Possesses strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills. Has thorough knowledge of human resources concepts, policies and procedures, employment practices, labor relations, salary administration, training and other areas of human resources. Is skilled in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing. Demonstrates skill in prioritizing competing work assignments, employing political acumen and integrating information to determine appropriate courses of action and their implications. Possesses strong analytical, active listening and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. Ability to organize work, establish priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to independently gather and analyze data, performing sound judgment and decision making. Ability to extract data from systems and the ability to analyze, validate and prepare consolidated reports using tools such as pivot tables and formulas within Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Has thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas. Knows the university's Human Resources Management System (HRMS) and other related business software programs and systems.
