Note:

This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required. Duties and Responsibilities

Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests. Examine and analyze body fluids and cells; match blood for transfusions. Familiarity with the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) requirements for maintaining blood products. Analyze the chemical content of fluids and test for drug levels in blood. Prepare specimens, count cells, and look for abnormal cells in blood and body fluids. Analyze test results and communicate findings to physicians. Culture body fluids and tissue samples to detect microorganisms. Test samples for chemical content and concentrations of compounds like glucose and cholesterol. Evaluate test results, develop and modify procedures, and monitor programs to ensure test accuracy. Use universal safety precautions to protect against biohazardous materials, including blood-borne pathogens. Order and stock supplies; maintain a safe, clean working environment in compliance with regulations. Maintain patient records, manage lab equipment, and oversee lab operations as needed. Provide supervision or act as Lead, guiding other technologists and technicians. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications

Completion of a formal Medical Technology training program leading to a Bachelor's Degree. Certification by AMT, ASCP, or NCA. Current BLS certification. At least five years of experience as a Medical Technologist. At least one year in a Lead role. Recent clinical experience in direct patient care within the last 6 months. Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively. Proficiency with computers, MS Office, and office equipment. Flexibility to adapt to shift changes and operational needs. Strong problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English communication skills. Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
