Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting or finance within a manufacturing environment. This role will support our financial operations, including day-to-day AR/AP transactions and month-end close processes, and will play a key role in implementing and optimizing our new ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analytical insights to drive business performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and prepare reports for management review.
- Assist in the implementation, testing, and optimization of the new ERP system to ensure seamless financial integration.
- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and process documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices in financial reporting and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with ERP implementation is highly desirable.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with system configuration, testing, and user training during ERP rollouts.
- Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
- Experience working in continuous improvement and Six Sigma environments.
