Summary

Performs a variety of functions related to the manufacturing of wire and cable products. Manufacturing Associate I is an entry level position with little or no prior manufacturing experience required.

Essential Job Functions

  • Mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
  • Ability to track and record production results and follow priorities to ensure on-time completion of tasks.
  • Must have physical dexterity.
  • Good vision, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors to comply with safety codes and procedures.
  • Ability to use production tools and equipment.
  • Perform tasks safely and efficiently to protect self, others, products, materials and assets.
  • Operate with integrity to foster teamwork and accomplish job goals.
  • Must be able to hear audible alarms for building evacuation and equipment safety.
  • Must be able to hear alarms and noises associated with product problems to avoid scrap.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (written and verbal).
  • Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing/pulling, handling; lift up to 50 pounds; with mechanical assistance lift/move 100 pounds or more; work at heights and around moving machinery; operate mobile equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Shifts and Compensation

  • 3 SHIFTS AVAILABLE
  • 1st Shift — 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (limited availability)
  • 2nd Shift — 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
  • 3rd Shift — 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
  • Pay: $15/hour; $1.25 shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift hours

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Language: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Travel: This position doesn’t require travel.
