Amphenol CIT is seeking an Engineering Manager - Wire & Cable to provide technical and strategic leadership to engineering teams supporting wire and cable manufacturing operations.
The company is headquartered in St. Augustine, FL, with offices and manufacturing facilities worldwide, and is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance wire, cable, and medical devices.
Summary
The Engineering Manager will drive results through process optimization, product innovation, machine design, and sustaining engineering activities, ensuring the delivery of high-reliability products to customers. Essential Job Functions
Provide overall leadership and direction to engineering teams. Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and technical excellence within the engineering team. Drive effectiveness of engineering group by implementing robust training programs and fostering skill development. Serve as the technical subject matter expert for wire and cable manufacturing. Develop and refine engineering processes, standards, and policies using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Support new product development and manage engineering resources. Drive quality, delivery, and cost objectives through corrective actions and continuous improvement. Incorporate the latest technological advancements to maximize process capability. Coordinate projects with plant functions and participate in production stand-ups. Drive a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policy. Supervisor Responsibilities
Manages performance of engineering staff, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members. Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field. 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in engineering leadership roles. Experience in wire, cable, harness, or interconnect product manufacturing. Strong leadership skills, project management skills, and understanding of modern wire manufacturing techniques. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to work in a factory environment and an administrative environment. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
