Lab Manager - Level 3: Responsibilities:
Applying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment Assess network topology and device configurations, identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations Advise and provide insight on development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies Provide support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g., Citrix) to users Provide support for MacOS and iOS to users Provide troubleshooting and triaging assistance for basic to intermediate technical challenges and user issues Monitor and respond to users on IT helpdesk channels and phone lines Assist in the management of user accounts and resetting credentials Perform implementation of granular access control, monitor systems for performance and security, establish backups Troubleshoot and resolve storage problems across the enterprise related to storage and replication strategies Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship Active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI preferred Ability to obtain DHS Suitability 5+ years of relevant system administration experience Experience with Linux/Unix & MacOS Networking and network administration knowledge Experience with VPNs and virtual desktops (Citrix, VMWare) Ability to work collaboratively across locations Desired Skills:
Experience with SIEMs like ELK and Splunk Virtualization automation and optimization Experience with Jamf Pro, DEP, Enterprise Connect Writing technical procedures and SOPs Required Education:
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related; or HS Diploma + 7+ years lab management/system admin experience Desired Certifications:
