John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, TX Job Summary:

The CT Technologist utilizes CT scanners to capture diagnostic images as ordered by physicians, supporting accurate patient diagnosis. Essential Responsibilities: Perform procedures and obtain images according to protocols. Position patients properly, using immobilization and protective equipment as needed. Review, manipulate, and evaluate images; perform post-processing as necessary. Calibrate CT systems daily. Consult with Radiologists to determine proper protocols. Administer IV contrast, document dosages, and follow safety protocols. Conduct quality control checks and report equipment issues. Maintain a safe, clean environment with necessary supplies. Follow radiation safety principles (ALARA). Work independently with a positive attitude and good judgment. Use PACS, EMR, and related software effectively. Distribute workload equitably and adapt to variable environments and schedules. Qualifications: Required: Graduate of JCERT-approved Radiologic Sciences program. Registered with ARRT in CT or eligible to take the exam within 12 months. Certified by the Texas Medical Board as an MRT. BLS certification by AHA or ARC by first day of employment. Preferred: ARRT in Radiology or NMTCB certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences. Join us at 1500 S.
