What You’ll Do

As part of our dynamic manufacturing team, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing methods, tooling, and techniques to reduce setup time, changeovers, and equipment operation effort
  • Implementing cycle time reduction strategies in bottleneck manufacturing cells
  • Troubleshooting machining processes and PLC programs (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
  • Modifying manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, cost efficiency, or accommodate design changes
  • Supporting financial goals through budgeting, expenditure scheduling, and project budget management
  • Managing capital projects: equipment specs, runoffs, installation, and contractor coordination
  • Updating and maintaining equipment and production layout drawings
  • Developing engineering solutions for recurring equipment/process failures
  • Identifying and delivering departmental training to boost skill levels
  • Reviewing and coordinating TPM, PM, proactive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime
  • Owning PFMEA, control plans, and process flows in collaboration with the Quality Engineer
  • Supporting shop floor teams with problem-solving and standard work instruction development
  • Managing external contractors for process and equipment improvements
  • Collaborating across all levels to enhance machinery and manufacturing processes
  • Leading Kaizen activities and documenting outcomes
  • Understanding key environmental aspects and related operational controls

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in high-volume machining, assembly, and automation
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Enterprise methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MfgPro, Kronos
