Overview

Ben E. Keith Company is a leading food and premium beverage distributor with a long-standing history since 1906. Our Food Division distributes a broad-line selection across multiple states, and our Beverage Division operates throughout Texas as a distributor of Anheuser-Busch products, craft and import beers, spirits, and wine. The Warehouse forklift position supports warehouse operations and plays a key role in replenishing pick locations, moving products, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Replenish pick locations in assigned areas using information from KWCS system and management, operating forklift, cherry picker, pallet jack, or mid-rider.
• Move received product to assigned warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
• Work in all warehouse temperature zones, from cold to hot environments.
• Operate warehouse equipment as assigned: cherry picker, forklift, mid-rider, and pallet jack.
• Lift 30-60 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally.
• Maintain knowledge of products and warehouse locations; knowledge of KWCS system is preferred.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and orderly area by clearing debris, damaged cases, and shrink wrap from aisles.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety rules and guidelines; basic reading and spelling skills for paperwork.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (cold or hot).
• Solid interpersonal skills and enthusiastic self-starter attitude.
• Ability to receive and follow directions and to multi-task.
• Good communication skills and customer-focused demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic.
• High School Diploma.
