Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated APU Controls Supplier Transition and Phase 6 Engineer to support the supplier transition of components and systems related to Auxiliary Power Units (APUs). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the engineering aspects of supplier transitions, ensuring products meet quality and performance standards through effective project management and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities
Lead and support the technical aspects of APU control system design, implementation, and validation during IPDS Phase 6 Manage the transition of components from suppliers, evaluating risks and developing mitigation strategies. Prepare and implement validation and verification plans to ensure quality and performance standards are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supplier Quality Engineering throughout the transition process. Document the transition process, including challenges and resolutions, to inform management and future transition projects. Provide regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders on project status and outcomes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field). At least 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, particularly in supplier transitions or project management. Strong knowledge of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and related systems preferred. Proven experience in executing project subtasks to meet customer specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail in managing complex engineering challenges Proficiency with engineering tools and software. We Value
