Job Description As an APU Controls Advanced Systems Engineer at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating control systems for Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) in the Engines & Power Systems (EPS) business unit. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the APU business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering 6+ years of systems engineering experience in support of safety-critical aerospace development (2+ if master degree) Strong knowledge and understanding of control systems engineering principles Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Experience with control system design, implementation, and testing WE VALUE Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering Experience/knowledge of IBM DOORS including DXL programming and Rationale Publishing Experience/knowledge of new IBM DOORS NG Experience/knowledge of Matlab and Simulink Experience/knowledge of System/Software requirements including processing and decomposition Experience/knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) including Cameo tool for MBSE Experience with control system development for aerospace applications Knowledge of APU systems and their integration into aircraft Experience with gas turbine engine control system components such as controller, wire harness, start motor, oil level sensor, speed sensor, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, etc. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to control systems in aerospace applications Experience leading diverse and global teams Self-motivation to work with little supervision and take the initiative to complete tasks Ability to change course based on new information and direction Ability to multi-task Ability to make autonomous decisions About Honeywell
