Jobs via Dice . The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit is a newly formed team focused on consolidating, simplifying, and accelerating Microsoft’s presence across the DIB landscape. The team works with commercial contractors and federal agencies to modernize data platforms, enable secure AI, and drive mission outcomes. Responsibilities
Lead the modernization of customer data estates by designing and deploying secure, scalable architectures using Azure Data Services, Synapse, Fabric, and Purview. Align data platform strategies to mission outcomes in regulated and classified environments. Support both commercial defense contractors and federal agencies with tailored data solutions, integrating Zero Trust, data governance, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ITAR, CMMC, FedRAMP). Ensure data security across GCC, GCCH, and sovereign cloud environments; collaborate with security CSAs to deliver Purview, Information Protection, and Insider Risk Management capabilities. Demonstrate proficiency in opportunity identification, business acumen, and operational excellence; lead architecture whiteboard sessions and live demos. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience. Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:
This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions and supports United States government customers. Citizenship will be verified via a valid passport where required by law. Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications
Technical expertise in Azure Data Services, Synapse, Databricks, Fabric, and Purview. Experience delivering data platform modernization in regulated or classified environments. Familiarity with MCEM, Unified Delivery, and Factory engagement models. Proven ability to drive customer adoption, usage, and renewals in enterprise environments. Preferred Certifications (Minimum of one)

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD 106,400 – 203,600 per year. The range varies by location (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area, New York City metropolitan area). Application Details
