Executive Chef - Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead. Waldorf Astoria is looking for an Executive Chef to oversee this Atlanta property. This 42-story tower includes 127 rooms (plus 47 residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets: Brassica Restaurant, Bar, and In-Room Dining. The role oversees all back-of-house food and beverage operations (culinary and stewarding) and reports to the Director of Food & Beverage. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, develops others, and creates unique dining experiences. At least 3 years of culinary management experience with a fine dining background is required; luxury hotel experience is highly preferred.
What will I be doing?
Direct and oversee all culinary operations, including production of hotel meals, food quality and presentation, safety and sanitation compliance, team productivity and performance, policies and procedures, cost controls, and overall profitability. Create and implement new menus and items for outlets in partnership with the Director of Food & Beverage, based on current trends and regional tastes. Interact with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction, address issues, and drive improvements. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. Perform general management duties including systems management, budgeting and forecasting, report generation, department management, and meeting participation. Monitor and develop team member performance: supervision, development, scheduling, counseling and evaluations, and recognition. Recruit, interview, and train team members.
