Provides analytical and administrative support to the Theater/Dance Chair and Chief Administrative Officer. Responsible for duties related to academic appointments, faculty advancement, faculty recruitment, visitor appointments, donor relations, financial support, and a variety of other assignments. Handles sensitive and confidential information requiring independent judgment and discretion, as well as excellent written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills. Assists with duties related to academic appointments, faculty recruitment, visitor appointments, donor relations, and other department processes in accordance with policies. Coordinates and manages information and materials to ensure timely and compliant operations within the department. Qualifications
Required: High School Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 1–3 years of administrative experience 1–3 years of experience organizing and managing events, prioritizing multiple work assignments, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities Preferred Qualifications
1–3 years of work experience in a higher-education setting Excellent organizational and analytical skills Ability to manage confidential information Knowledge of academic personnel Strong customer service skills Ability to work effectively as part of a staff team and with faculty Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening Critical thinking, multi-tasking, and time-management skills Knowledge of university administrative procedures and processes Proficiency with basic computer office programs (word processing, spreadsheets, databases) Job Details
Department: DRAM (Dramatic Art/Dance Department) Percentage of Time: 100% Union: CX Employment Class: Staff – Career FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Theater Dance West, Room 2523 Working Days and Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Salary: The budgeted salary range is $29.35 to $30.73 per hour; full salary range is $29.35 to $42.06 per hour Benefits Eligibility: Full Benefits Type of Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Both UC & Non-UC locations) Application Instructions
