$80.00/hr - $90.00/hr About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Disaster Recovery (DR) Project Manager
to lead initiatives that strengthen the organization’s operational resilience and ensure the continuity of critical applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will drive the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of our Disaster Recovery framework, working collaboratively with application owners, infrastructure SMEs, and senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Create, review, and maintain comprehensive DR runbooks and recovery checklists for Tier 0–4 applications, ensuring alignment with business continuity objectives. Evaluate current disaster recovery capabilities, identify gaps and risks, and recommend improvements to meet established RTO/RPO targets. Coordinate interviews and workshops with application and infrastructure teams to capture recovery processes and finalize runbooks for Tier 3 and Tier 4 systems. Partner with application SMEs and technical teams to enhance recovery and resiliency configurations (e.g., Zerto implementation, scripting, DDI tools). Manage the backlog of DR improvement opportunities in collaboration with the existing Program Manager. Support DR tabletop and failover exercises—planning, execution, and documentation—to validate recovery processes and ensure compliance. Lead regular reviews and updates of DR runbooks, ensuring all documentation remains current and effective. Establish processes and controls to maintain an evergreen DR program. Research, assess, and recommend tools or technologies that improve operational resilience and recovery automation. Track and communicate project status, priorities, issues, and risks to key stakeholders and the Oversight Committee. Support broader Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery initiatives as assigned by the Manager of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or related technical roles Proven experience leading DR documentation, testing, and governance activities Working knowledge of application SDLC, SQL, and Oracle databases Familiarity with DR tools and technologies (e.g., Zerto, scripting, DDI, virtualization, backup/recovery platforms) Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Preferred Certifications (Nice-to-Have) Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) Seniority level
