Assistant Professor of Clinical, College of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. Join to apply for this role at Inside Higher Ed. The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology supports the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, its affiliated hospitals, and cancer and research centers. The Department seeks an MD academic clinician to work with the Hepatology Section and Luminal GI service lines in a collaborative environment. The position includes patient care responsibilities, teaching, and the opportunity for research based on interests and credentials. Compensation is competitive and may include incentives based on clinical and/or academic productivity. Responsibilities
Engage in fellow and resident teaching, including precepting clinics, leading resident and fellow didactic lectures as part of inpatient rounding, and leading journal clubs for fellows and residents. Participate in or initiate research projects, including clinical trials, and mentor fellows in clinical research and dissemination of results to national conferences and peer‑reviewed journals. Provide patient care in outpatient clinics, inpatient services, hospital consults, and endoscopy laboratory procedures; participate in pro rata weekend/holiday/night call per division policies. Collaborate across divisions and departments to support translational and clinical research and educational activities. Minimum Requirements
MD/DO or equivalent. State of Ohio Medical License. Completion of a 3-year internal medicine residency. Completion of a 3-year Gastroenterology or Hepatology fellowship from an accredited program. Additional Qualifications Considered
Board eligible or Board-certified Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist. Physical Requirements/Work Environment
