Overview
Constellation Search Group is seeking a Project Accountant for a full-time direct hire position. This role involves managing a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks within the construction industry, including payroll, accounts payable and billing, and ensuring accurate job costing. The position will support the implementation of a new accounting system and perform other tasks as needed. Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees, including reconciling field timesheets, data input, and preparing payroll reports. Review and input accounts payable invoices; match and verify against purchase orders; handle vendor inquiries, expense reimbursements, and payment processing. Calculate and process sales and use tax, maintain corporate credit card expenditures and payments, and ensure certificates of insurance compliance. Prepare timely and accurate billings including AIA contract documents, invoices, lien waivers, change orders, and certified payroll reports. Maintain the integrity of the job cost system by ensuring timely processing and proper coding related to payroll, accounts payable, and job activities. Assist in implementing and documenting a new accounting system and perform additional tasks to support daily workflow. Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years\' construction accounting experience with payroll, unions, accounts payable, job cost, and billing. Construction administration experience with an understanding of industry practices, terminology, and procedures. Experience with job cost accounting procedures and reporting. Experience with union payroll/reporting issues and procedures. Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable. Compensation and Benefits
