Overview

Application Analyst Principal role at Inside Higher Ed. This position coordinates and leads resources from across UGA and USG in support of testing and release management for the UGA Budget Management and Planning system, the UGA Financial Management System, and integrations between these systems and other administrative information systems, including OneUSG Connect. The role also serves as a Unified ERP project team member working with the University System of Georgia on their Workday implementation. Responsibilities include team leadership, documenting procedures, and ensuring testing and release processes meet client needs. Responsibilities

Design and develop testing and release management procedures for UGA clients and Workday implementation. Manage testing plans, ensure tests are performed and results are documented. Communicate changes with internal and external support staff and adhere to EITS change requirements. Manage workload for self and team using ticket/task tracking tools. May work evenings and/or weekends for release supervision. Design and develop release and tenant management processes for the Workday system in collaboration with the project team. Interview and consult with clients to determine testing obstacles, timelines, resources, and support required. Define, develop, implement, and document testing and release management plans and procedures; create training materials and ensure procedures are understood. Coordinate testing, release, and tenant management activities in Workday. Learns and performs Workday configuration as needed. Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities Cultivate effective relationships between IT and client community; propose technologies to meet needs. Interact with user and systems management to plan and implement system policies. Direct and coordinate efforts of analysts, programmers, and functional team members in testing and release management; review work for accuracy and adherence to standards. Provide mentorship and performance feedback to team members; support departmental goals; ensure policy adherence for auditability. Production Support Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and manage periodic operational tasks. Monitor and support maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Maintain test scripts and ensure testing is auditable. Coordinate AIS responses to testing issues among clients, developers, and vendors. Project and Workload Management Enter and manage change requests in the AIS change management system; document information for auditability. Prioritize, plan, and coordinate work with clients, AIS management, and third parties. Work with AIS Project Management to develop timelines and balance priorities; assign tasks and monitor progress to meet deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience Experience with IT project management and/or release management processes Familiarity with ERPs and IT application systems processes General Finance and HR knowledge as related to systems Experience supervising and mentoring junior IT staff Excellent communication and organizational skills Minimum Qualifications As listed above under Qualifications. Position Details Location: Athens Area Employment Type: Full Time Salary: Up to 85,000; Commensurate with Experience Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday; occasional nights and weekends for releases FTE: 1.00; FLSA: Exempt Additional Information
