Responsibilities
Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning & design and ensures requirements are complied with through formal verification methods. Translates high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to the overall network and system development. Design interfaces and combine network and system elements to work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and understanding and shaping requirements. Work in a fast-paced environment alongside a team of highly specialized Engineers, providing engineering and implementation action for integration, modernization, and new installations for partner nations and allies in the Southern & European Command areas of responsibilities. Ability to install network equipment, cabling, in complex data center environments. Provide operation and integration support for a multi-vendor infrastructure, including various routers and switches, vendor firewalls, and vendor servers. Aid senior engineers with routing and switching support with an intermediate understanding of designing, testing, and implementing dynamic routing protocols (IGP/EGP); understanding of layer two technologies; familiarity with major vendor CLI environments (Cisco IOS, JunOS, PanOS). Configure, install, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VLANs, MPLS, IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), IP multicast, and QoS under guidance. Ensure proper routing protocols are applied to optimize end-to-end network performance from LAN through WAN to CAN, SAN, or data center. Assist the customer with identifying derived design objectives, technical specifications, performance requirements, and interoperability specifications to ensure the system design meets end-to-end requirements. Document networks, system changes, and all required checklists within the configuration baseline. Qualifications
Required Skills And Experience Active Secret clearance (or NATO Secret) Must possess an Active Secret or NATO Secret Clearance Must have a valid US Passport and be prepared for international travel up to 40% at customer locations in Eastern Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America. Must be fluent in Spanish, both conversational and written. Proficiency with network diagramming and productivity tools (Visio, Lucid, AutoCAD) is necessary. Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, CASP, etc.). Entry-level experience with Cyber Network Defense (CND), Cybersecurity Operations, or current CCNA Level Certification. Knowledge of multi-area OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS environments Experience setting up IPSec VPNs, GRE Tunnels, and DMVPN architecture. Experience with L2 and L3 protocols over Campus/WAN networks. Experience with multitiered hub-and-spoke network design. Preferred Skills And Experience
Relevant MS Degree and +4 Years; BS Degree and +6 years of relevant experience, or HS Diploma +9 years of relevant experience in network design and implementation. Specific expertise, education, and training may be considered in place of a degree. A senior military background within Signal, Communications, or Information Technology MOSs will be highly desired. CCNA Security or CCNA CyberOps - Desired Qualifications in place of CCNA: JNCDA/JNCIA, PCCET/PCNSE - CCNP Security or CCNP Service Provider (SPCORE) Company Overview:
