We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in routing and switching, advanced network protocols, and network security. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, experienced in maintaining a secure and resilient enterprise network, and capable of contributing to network design, optimization, and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Manage network switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and related security devices.
Implement and monitor network segmentation and access control to enhance security posture.
Perform system patching, firmware updates, and routine maintenance to maintain compliance and stability.
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams on integrated network solutions.
Support SD-WAN environments and participate in architecture and performance tuning.
Utilize automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) to streamline configuration management and deployments.
Maintain documentation of network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide escalation-level support.
Qualifications:
CCNP certification required (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of routing/switching, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.
Familiarity with SD-WAN, network segmentation, and automation frameworks preferred.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, and subnetting.
Experience with monitoring and configuration tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, Wireshark).
Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
Exposure to network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Knowledge of Zero Trust or micro-segmentation strategies.
