Overview
The Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a leading not-for-profit organization located in Nassau County. CEC assists adults diagnosed with mental illness in achieving independence and pursuing their goals. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join the Mobile Residential Support Team (MRS) on the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program as Community-based Mental Health Specialists. This is a full-time role with a Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Responsibilities
Ensure quality services are provided to each recipient through person-centered planning and maximize opportunities for community integration. Collaborate with MRS staff to address the needs of recipients on the team. Utilize crisis intervention skills to ensure recipients’ safety in the community. Implement and document delivery of community support services to help recipients manage psychiatric symptoms, live independently, and succeed in their community of choice. Establish mutually agreed-upon support plan goals to enhance independent functioning. Implement and document all person-centered behavioral support plans/strategies and recipient behaviors. Provide assistance to recipients to promote health, safety, and independence. Assist recipients in learning daily living tasks, including apartment cleaning and household chores. Ensure living environments meet high-quality standards and apply behavioral interventions when warranted. Maintain collaborative relationships with other CEC programs and external providers to maximize service coordination and integration. Participate in on-call coverage. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social or Human Services; Master’s degree preferred. At least 6 months of experience working with the mental health population (required). Clean, valid New York State driver’s license. Must have transportation and be able to travel through Nassau and Western Suffolk County. Pay, Schedule, and Location
Base pay range: $30.90/hr - $42.33/hr (varies by qualifications and licensure). Hourly Salary breakdown (unlicensed vs licensed): Unlicensed Bachelor’s $30.90; Unlicensed Master’s $32.25; Limited Permit $33.30; Licensed LMSW $37.30; Licensed LCSW/LMHC $42.33.
