Overview
Role focused on IFRS across international entities, ensuring consistent application of IFRS accounting policies and procedures, including technical accounting research and documentation.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for IFRS across all international entities. Ensure the consistent and correct application of IFRS accounting policies and procedures, including technical accounting research and the preparation of required documentation.
Lead the accounting integration of newly acquired international businesses. This includes establishing chart of accounts mapping, implementing standardized controls, and ensuring seamless transition to our global financial reporting framework.
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for foreign subsidiaries in accordance with local regulations and IFRS. Support the corporate consolidation process by ensuring complete and accurate reporting packages from all international locations.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable accounting processes, controls, and policies for new international operations. Drive initiatives to standardize and optimize workflows across different countries, enhancing efficiency and control.
Act as the main point of contact for external auditors on international reporting matters. Coordinate with local finance teams, external accounting providers, and corporate finance to resolve accounting issues and ensure clean audits.
Potentially manage and mentor a small team of international accountants, and provide technical guidance and training to local finance personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years focused on international operations and IFRS reporting.
Previous experience in a Big Four public accounting firm is a significant plus.
Demonstrated experience with multi-national consolidation and currency translation/remeasurement.
Experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and financial reporting tools.
Skills
