Overview
Senior Regional Sales Manager - SW US / Intl role at GEOTEK LLC. The Senior Regional Sales Manager (Sr.RSM) is an integral part of our collaborative commercial organization, working with Marketing, Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), and Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) to manage and grow revenue for the PUPI crossarm, PUPI distribution pole, and Alliance light pole brands at Electric Utility customers. This role has territory responsibility in the Southwest United States and also manages several large and sophisticated key accounts in Southern California, Australia, Ireland, and Jamaica. The Sr.RSM will generate a territory sales strategy, manage an existing network of independent manufacturers’ representatives, establish and maintain relationships at end-users and distributors, and grow profitable sales revenue. The position supports pricing analysis and proposal generation in cooperation with Marketing and Sr Management. The position reports to The Territory Sales Director and works closely with Sales and Marketing leadership, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Applications Engineering staff. Responsibilities
Develop and execute territory sales strategy; manage a network of independent manufacturers’ representatives; establish and maintain relationships with end-users and distributors; grow profitable sales revenue for PUPI and Alliance brands. Maintain business with existing key customers and secure new product growth; build long-term relationships with key decision makers. Provide direction and structure for updates from the network of manufacturers’ representatives; facilitate engineering discussions and product recommendations for customers. Understand and communicate differentiated value propositions to customers. Pricing and forecasting: review margins and competitive positioning; propose and administer customer pricing within a defined Delegation of Authority; manage quarterly forecasting and usage projections at accounts. Collaborate with Inside Sales Representatives to manage order entry, quote requests, complex order scheduling, and safety stock or special service agreements. Support mobilization of resources to propose and close key accounts and projects; track KPIs for sales volumes and margins within the territory. Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Scheduling, and Finance to grow trusted relationships within GEOTEK. Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering within an industrial or manufacturing company; ability to articulate understanding of and interest in other functions. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to set customer meetings, present a position, and capture follow-up actions. Strong organizational skills to manage customer requests, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely follow-ups. Ability to review pricing and margin data analytically and propose strategies based on quantitative and qualitative factors. Understanding of forecasting techniques and practical analysis; ability to collaborate with a small Inside Sales team in a largely horizontal sales organization. Experience selling to electric utilities and managing large Investor Owned Utilities (IOUs) preferred. MS Office proficiency, especially MS Excel. Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering-related fields. Seeks opportunities for long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key personnel at large and complex customers. Work Conditions
Remote and home-based role, preferably located near the stated domestic territory. Majority of time at desk using computer and phone; moderate domestic travel (~50%), and 1 to 2 international trips per year. Compensation
