Overview

The Human Resources Manager oversees the full employee lifecycle as a direct business partner within a rapidly growing organization. This role leads the planning and execution of essential HR initiatives for a defined geographic region, with duties spanning onboarding, performance management, employee relations, offboarding, and compliance with labor regulations. This position supports regional Manufacturing, Cultivation, and Retail operations across Maryland and requires travel to facilities onsite. Occasional after-hours support may be required based on employee shift schedules. Responsibilities

Strengthen Partnerships : Develop and maintain partnerships with management and employees, providing guidance, counsel, and coaching on HR-related matters. Performance Management : Offer day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective actions. Policy Development and Application : Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies and guidelines that enhance relationships, morale, productivity, and retention. Employee Relations : Create strategies to conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations in a timely manner. Legal Compliance : Maintain knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure day-to-day legal compliance in employee management. Talent Acquisition and Management : Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop workforce planning, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and identify talent needs. Payroll and Benefits : Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate payroll, benefits, and leave processing. Corporate HR Initiatives : Facilitate and support Corporate HR programs, initiatives, and compliance. Other Duties : Perform any additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in HR or related field with 7+ years as a Human Resources Business Partner/Generalist serving a geographically dispersed workforce. Proven experience in both established and emerging organizations with the ability to develop tailored HR programs and processes. Strong business acumen; experience in retail, manufacturing, or production environments is strongly preferred. Ability to collaborate effectively with remote management teams and employees to build trusting working relationships. Ability to handle both transactional and strategic HR support. Required Skills/Abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences. Proactive and self-directed leadership style. Excellent listening skills and the ability to handle confidential conversations. Proven coaching and facilitation skills to develop mid-level management. Onsite presence at dedicated company locations with ability to travel to other sites as needed. Willingness to support a 7 day/week operation as required. Experience with HRIS (e.g., WURK HRIS) and proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Experience using data to inform decision-making and improve operations. Physical Requirements
