Responsibilities
As a Monitor Technician, you are responsible for monitoring the assigned central telemetry of the patients and documents sample strips indicating usual rhythm, as well as arrhythmias. Report changes in telemetry screens for immediate follow-up action to the nurse and report equipment problems for corrective action. Accurately interpret cardiac rhythms; report life-threatening arrhythmias to nearest nursing personnel. Run, label, and post rhythm strips per policy and protocol. Demonstrate flexibility; stay organized and function in stressful situations. Communicate information about dysrhythmias to the patient’s primary nurse. Qualifications
High School or GED. Must be able to pass the Rhythms and Arrhythmias exam. Monitor Tech experience preferred. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Benefits
