Overview
Position: Job Developer Program: Roger Sherman House Location: New Haven Salary: $19.75/hour Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 1st shift, Monday-Friday Position Summary
The Job Developer will deliver comprehensive case management services to clients in work release programs in New Haven. The Job Developer will evaluate the client’s employment needs and make appropriate recommendations to the vocational specialist. Work with clients on ways to approach potential employers to enhance marketability. Assist case management in working individually and in group sessions with clients to deliver vocational assessments and identify realistic vocational paths, develop resumes, develop job-hunting and interviewing skills, and provide supports to help clients maintain employment over time. Working within Adult Services, the Job Developer works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community. The ideal candidate will be able to establish professional respectful relationships with clients, will demonstrate consistent and predictable attendance and have strong organizational skills. This position provides Job Development services to the clients of the Roger Sherman program 4 days per week, and the Women’s Rise program 1 day per week. Responsibilities

Bachelor’s Degree 1 year of related experience Valid Connecticut driver’s license Regular and predictable attendance is required Orientation
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown. Benefits
