Serve as a Network Engineer - Virtualization Specialist supporting network build-out and deployment for the Missile Defense Agency Perform VMware system administration activities and provide root-cause analysis for critical problems Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity administrators to maintain a high-quality test environment Conduct daily system monitoring, backups, and application upgrades to ensure optimal operations Document system changes and advise the Government customer on system status and optimization efforts Qualifications
What is Required (Qualifications): Minimum of 10 years of general work experience, with at least 7 years of direct experience in networking At least 1 year of experience in a management or leadership role Strong understanding of Internet Protocols (e.g., DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL) and firewall configuration Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA, etc.) or higher Must have or obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PIM, L2 and L3 multicast, and type I encryption devices VMware Certified Technical Associate - Data Center Virtualization (VCTA) or VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) certification Knowledge of Missile Defense and DoD communications systems Experience with Python or PowerShell programming and scripting Degree in an IT or Engineering related discipline #Engineering #NetworkEngineering #Virtualization #CareerOpportunity #CompetitivePay #FlexibleWorkSchedule We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
