NCDIT , is seeking a part-time
Strategic Initiatives Lead
to drive and organize critical strategic initiatives, including: Designing a streamlined onboarding process for NC HealthConnex participants Launching a data-sharing partnership with the State Health Plan (SHP) This role will focus on defining, launching, and operationalizing high-priority workstreams before transitioning day-to-day responsibilities to internal staff, while staying involved at a strategic level. Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding Process Design: Develop a streamlined, scalable onboarding model to reduce connection time, establish measurable success metrics, and incorporate supporting technologies. State Health Plan Strategy: Initiate and lead the development of a shared data strategy with the SHP, expand provider connections, and set up use cases such as care management, population health, and quality measurement. Enterprise Policy Support: Provide strategic planning and policy analysis for emerging priorities, ensuring a smooth transition to internal teams once foundational work is complete. Stakeholder Coordination: Align internal cross-functional teams, consultants, and vendors to meet initiative goals, while ensuring ongoing stakeholder communication and visibility. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Policy, Information Systems, or related field is required. Master's degree preferred. Experience & Skills:
Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder health IT or policy projects from concept through execution (7+ years). Deep understanding of Health Information Exchange (HIE), EHR integration, healthcare data standards, and privacy/security regulations (7+ years). Strong skills in facilitation, communication, and consensus-building across diverse stakeholder groups (7+ years).
