How You'll Help Us To Connect The World
The ProAV Systems Engineer is a trusted technical advisor supporting pre-sales efforts for RUCKUS AV networking solutions across commercial and residential markets.
Work closely with Account Managers, this role engages AV partners, system integrators, and channel teams to deliver expert guidance, solution design, demos, and technical presentations.
With deep knowledge of networking and AV technologies, the engineer leads consultative discussions, proof-of-concept trials, and training while staying ahead of industry trends.
Responsibilities
Pre-sales engineering network and AV design, network switching design planning, radio frequency passive and/or active planning, bill of material creation, sales opportunity engagement, and technical training individually or in larger group settings.
Identifying and driving the development of a territory account plan based on awareness of the business economics and trends of the industries, including vertical markets
Have a working knowledge of RUCKUS Networks wireless, wired and software solutions.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners with the ability to differentiate and competitively position RUCKUS solutions.
Assist the Territory and/or Partner Account Manager in driving revenue and selling solutions to achieve target ProAV solution goals.
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree (BS/BA minimum) along with 5 years pre-sales or equivalent experience working with AV solutions, routing, switching and Wi-Fi technologies.
Professional or associate level networking and AV industry certification such as CCNA, BPIPA, JNCIA, Cisco, Aruba, RUCKUS, CWNA, CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, ANP, or other AV industry certifications, etc. is preferred.
In-depth knowledge and direct experience designing, selling, deploying, and troubleshooting AV technologies like AV over IP, including codecs, protocols, video displays, video and audio streaming and conferencing, and AV control systems.
Strong ability to support and manage the process of troubleshooting complex problems.
Excellent communication along with highly effective technical presentation skills
You Will Excite Us If You Have
A proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering, IP networking, AV systems design and deployments, technical sales processes, and critical account management
Advanced understanding of problem solving, understanding business drivers and how to map these to a customer environment, including identification of improvement areas in network design
Direct knowledge of current AV systems, associated IT elements and their installation (including AMX, Crestron, Extron, Control4, Just Add Power, audio DSP, Video conferencing, and other vendor solutions)
Expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $160,400.00-240,700.00. The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan.
