Systems Engineer, CA (Central Valley) Territory. This remote position requires 50% or more travel. Candidate must live in the Central Valley of California (Modesto, Stockton, Sacramento, Fresno) or be willing to relocate at their own expense. This role supports technical sales, account guidance, and trusted advisory across a network of channel partners to sell RUCKUS networking solutions. How You'll Help Us Connect The World

The Systems Engineer provides end-customer focused technical sales support, influences account strategy, and collaborates with Territory Account Managers and/or Partner Account Managers. You will perform consultative solutions discussions with decision makers, deliver technical demos, architectural designs, proof of concept trials, training, and presentations for end-customers, partners, prospects and at events. Ideal candidates are self-starters with strong technical skills, deep industry knowledge, and excellent communication abilities, with working knowledge of the RUCKUS wireless and wired portfolio and related technologies. Responsibilities

Pre-sales engineering: network design, RF passive/active planning, bill of materials, sales engagement, and technical training Develop and execute a territory account plan based on industry economics and trends Maintain working knowledge of RUCKUS Networks wireless, wired, and software solutions Act as a trusted technical advisor to end-customers and partners, differentiating and positioning RUCKUS solutions Assist Territory/Partner Account Manager in driving revenue and achieving quota goals Required Qualifications For Consideration

BS/BA minimum in Electrical Engineering, Networking Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of pre-sales or equivalent experience with route, switch, and Wi‑Fi technologies Professional or associate networking certification such as Cisco CCNA/CCIE, Juniper JNCIA, Aruba, RUCKUS RCNI/RCWA, CWNA, etc. is preferred Strong ability to troubleshoot complex problems Effective technical presentation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Requirements: You will excite us if you have

Understanding of pre-sales engineering, technical sales processes, and critical account management Ability to communicate technical solutions to executive-level decision makers Understanding of end-customer business drivers and how to map to network design improvements Knowledge of networking: 802.11 Wi‑Fi (Wi‑Fi 5/6/7), RF design, troubleshooting, network optimization, IP routing and switching, WAN/LAN design, security, SASE, SD‑WAN, RADIUS, AD, virtualization (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V, cloud platforms) DevOps/REST or API programming knowledge is a plus General knowledge across Cloud services (SaaS); VLAN; security; QoS; BYOD/MDM; wireless architectures; RF design; wireless deployment environments; packet capture/analysis tools; WLAN security Experience with Wi‑Fi design tools (e.g., Ekahau, Hamina) Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $151,000.00 – $225,000.00 total compensation (base + commission). Our ranges reflect factors including experience, skills, education, geography, and business needs.
