Master’s degree in English, Mathematics, or History or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in one of these disciplines. Classroom teaching experience. Preferred:
PhD and prior university teaching experience. Blackboard experience. Primary Responsibilities: SRSU seeks qualified, adjunct/part-time instructors to teach dual credit students enrolled in freshman- and sophomore-level university courses in English, Mathematics, and History. Teach online, synchronous courses at various days and times. Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material. Use a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines. Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community. Position is security sensitive. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. Other Information: Texas Law requires a 60-day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.
