Job Description
Provides strategic leadership and governance over disaster recovery and ransomware resilience across hybrid IT environments. Oversees the development, execution, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide recovery frameworks to ensure operational continuity. Partners with senior IT and business leaders to align resiliency objectives with infrastructure changes, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies. Drives cross-functional coordination and reporting to support executive decision-making and audit readiness. Job Duties
Lead enterprise-wide disaster recovery governance, ensuring alignment with business continuity goals and regulatory standards. Direct cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and evaluation of disaster recovery exercises, including scenario-based testing and post-mortem analysis. Assess infrastructure changes for resiliency impact and oversee updates to recovery plans in collaboration with architecture and operations teams. Identify systemic risks and single points of failure, recommending strategic mitigation plans to senior leadership. Develop and manage performance metrics for disaster recovery readiness, presenting insights to executive stakeholders and audit teams. Oversee department-specific recovery planning, ensuring consistency and integration with enterprise frameworks. Ensure compliance with internal IT governance policies and external regulatory requirements through proactive monitoring and documentation. Serve as a senior advisor to IT leadership on disaster recovery strategy, emerging threats, and industry best practices. Champion continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lessons learned and benchmarking to enhance resiliency posture. Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering skill development and succession planning within the disaster recovery function. Education And Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, or equivalent work experience required. 8-10 years experience with 2+ years of relevant ability to influence and lead others Five (5)+ years in an IT disaster recovery position or equivalent. Proven experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation. Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for disaster recovery. Ability to coordinate and administer disaster recovery plans. Strong understanding of risk management and ransomware governance. Ability to identify critical points of failure and recommend solutions. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills with an ability to dive deep, summarize, and communicate important data Ability to work between technical and non-technical associates to create mutual understanding of concepts Experience in the auto or finance technology industry preferred. Experience with VMWare SRM and Azure Recovery Manager preferred Experience with SQL clusters and availability groups preferred Experience with BC in the Cloud is a plus Exeter Finance LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
