LaRosa Building Group is seeking a skilled Construction Accountant to join our team. As the Construction Accountant, you will play a vital role in overseeing the financial operations of our construction company, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance at every stage. You will collaborate closely with the executive team, project managers, and external auditors to drive financial success and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

Financial Management: work with the project team in all aspects of financial management for construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies. Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks. Project Cost Analysis: Analyze project costs, variances, and profitability. Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage working capital requirements. Optimize cash flow through strategic planning and efficient resource allocation. Audit and Taxation: Coordinate audits and tax filings for construction projects. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as necessary. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant professional certification preferred. Proven experience in construction accounting or related industry, with a minimum of 3 years experience. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation requirements. Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Procore, Sage Intacct) and ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
