Known for blending data science, engineering, and finance, the company is a leader in quantitative investing, managing billions in assets, and is known for its innovative, collaborative culture. As they grow, they’re looking to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist to support their U.S. and global payroll operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance, and supporting key cross-functional initiatives. You’d be working closely with internal teams and gaining exposure to a dynamic, high-performing organization at the intersection of tech and finance. Key Responsibilities
Spearhead the bi-weekly payroll process for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. Leverage advanced payroll systems such as Workday to manage payroll functions, handle deductions, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct thorough audits to verify payroll accuracy and promptly address any discrepancies. Manage employee timesheets, handle special requests, and ensure adherence to company policies and labor laws. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company guidelines, making necessary adjustments. Collaborate closely with the HR team to manage compliance issues, optimize 401K contributions, and oversee other payroll-related benefits. Provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues, fostering a positive workplace environment. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative workflows to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience Hands-on experience with Workday (required) Exceptional communication and presentation skills Seniority level
