Our 10 offices provide a broad engineering workforce to serve a growing client base. What You Will Do
We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Orlando office. This role focuses on providing technical and project management leadership on varied project scales, in addition to business development in the Orlando market. The Project Manager is expected to have a strong knowledge of structural engineering design principles to manage project budgets, schedules, and team resources. Typical projects include existing building expansions/modifications and large-scale (up to +800,000 SF) new building designs. The applicant should be outgoing and willing to engage in business development alongside in-office engineering. This is a client-facing position with expectations for generating work. Managing day-to-day client relationships Offering cost-effective solutions to clients Making quick decisions based on limited information Expanding our target base Securing new work in various markets Working with a small team on unique and challenging projects Directly impact the goals and strategic vision for the team Potential to quickly grow within the role and the opportunity to lead the team Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Master’s in Structural Engineering 8+ years of experience in the building structural design industry Active Professional Engineer license in Florida Experience in Revit Experience with industry-standard software (e.g., Microsoft products, Bentley RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.) Thorough knowledge of commercial building codes and applicable structural design references Active member of professional/technical societies preferred Previous project management/client management experience is a plus Skills And Competencies
Strong understanding of building design and construction, including detailing of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to identify applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines Self-directed, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment What We Offer
