– Our Service Specialists perform assigned tasks on automation systems, including service agreement maintenance, projects, and on-call service. They respond to emergency service calls as directed during regularly scheduled hours and after hours as needed. As a Service Specialist, you will be the face of Siemens, engaging with customers to help them save energy and money and to contribute to a more sustainable future. Responsibilities Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies Collaborate with internal service teams including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel Adhere to safety requirements and complete assigned training per the training path Follow policies, procedures, and standards; coordinate with contractors on job sites; maintain tools and test equipment Support after-hours on-call rotation; respond to service calls (emergency and on-site) and perform repairs on all automation system types Complete service ticket documentation per policy; maintain preventive maintenance schedules Document services performed and generate reports within Siemens tools Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations and assist with training Identify and report system discrepancies; suggest upgrade opportunities; assist in pricing repairs and upgrades to existing agreements; perform system checkout and startup on projects Work overtime when needed; participate in on-call rotations and possible overnight travel Participate in job-site final walks and turnover when assigned Qualifications Basic Qualifications 1+ years of experience servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment Electro-mechanical experience and user PC/software skills Ability and willingness to work in various environments (climbing ladders, scaffolds, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, etc.) Ability to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; ability to carry and move equipment up to 75 pounds unassisted Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Willingness to work overtime when needed Must be 18+ years old and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or state-recognized GED Specialized skill training/certification 1+ years installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment Knowledge of building automation systems, PLCs, HVAC, electrical concepts, and building operations Engineering and programming background (PLC or BMS) Knowledge of building system communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP) About Siemens We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
