Manager - Government Compliance & Finance Overview

The Manager - Government Compliance & Finance provides Government Compliance and financial guidance to the Qualified sites located within CAES by Honeywell Aerospace. This position is an excellent opportunity for growth in a government-oriented business. This role will become a subject matter expert through experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other government agency supplemental regulations. Position can sit in Clearwater, FL; Lansdale, PA; Phoenix, AZ; San Diego, CA; or San Jose, CA. No relocation is available for this role.

Responsibilities

Supervise and drive the Workstream preparation and analysis of the annual Incurred Cost Proposals and unallowable reviews pertaining to final claimed cost for CAES/EDS Home Office and segments, along with annual forward pricing rate proposals.

Supervise and drive the preparation of regular Rate Monitorship Reports, including variance analysis, data analytics and trending.

Act as primary interface with DCAA and DCMA regarding Business Systems, CAS, Incurred Cost, Forward Pricing and final voucher audits.

Support cost accounting change language related to segment disclosure statements and the analysis of cost impacts as required by CAS.

Support Government Compliance and Finance matters cross-functionally, reinforce awareness through training, prepare white papers, test internal controls, and drive HOS sustainment.

Qualifications Minimum

Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum of 5 years overall finance experience.

Minimum of 5 years of expertise in FAR, FAR Supplements, USG contracts, and CAS as applied to forward pricing.

5+ years of audit experience or exposure.

5+ years of experience in cost accounting.

U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or asylum/refugee status in the U.S. due to export control laws.

Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.

Preferred

Strong SAP experience.

High attention to detail and strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong financial and business analytical and problem-solving skills.

Independent, self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to contribute to a positive team attitude.

Bias for action; results oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across organizational boundaries.

CPA and/or Government Contract Accounting is a plus.

Experience with FAR, CAS and U.S. Government Compliance is desired.

Six Sigma certified or trained is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:

$118,000/year to $176,000/year. The applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on location, education, and experience. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
