What you will experience in this position: This role drives New Product Introduction from start of a new program through successful PPAP and Safe Launch Containment and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). You will apply engineering judgment and experience to collect past failure modes from lessons learned and new modes related to innovations in design and processing and apply them to new products and processes to ensure they are safe and effective at scale. Work collaboratively with Design, Operations, Program Managers, Product Managers, Supply Chain and other internal/external staff to ensure regular Gate Reviews are conducted, driving to launch excellence and customer satisfaction at scale. Responsibilities

Participate in the project Kick-off Meetings, support and influence project team development for internal requirements, verify layout data, customer specific requirements, Risk Priority Number (RPN) reductions, analyze SPC data, etc. Integrate safety practices into product and process design. Work with customer requirements and internal processes to align product design to scale production with exceptional quality for critical equipment. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and the organization to find the best fit solution. Develop capability studies, document the results, and ensure that internal and external requirements are met including deviations. Develop Control Plans, Part layouts, Inspection Instructions, Gage design and R&R, FMEAs, etc. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to develop fixtures and job aids prior to production launch. Develop new and unique products and processes to solve critical challenges. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years as Manufacturing Engineer OR Bachelor's degree and 12+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience must include developing Controls Plans, FMEAs, process capabilities, Gatekeeper for GD&T, blueprints, customer specifications, ECNs, Quality sign-offs, ISO/TS16949, ISO-9001, etc. Hands-on experience with and/or PPAP submission for industry. Experience leading large projects, including both product development and process development. Proven leadership skills in projects. Ability to influence and guide large teams towards desired outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge of APQP concepts for new launches and ECNs. What We Have

Pay Transparency: nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Compensation range: $89,300.00 - $165,800.00. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
