CARES Team- Child Abuse Pediatrics Assistant Professor- College of Medicine
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Academic Pediatric Hospital Medicine- CARES (Child Advocacy and Resource Evaluation Service) Team is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track academic position. Academic rank at the time of appointment shall be commensurate with experience and credentials. Responsibilities Responsibilities of this position include evaluating children at risk for abuse/neglect both in inpatient and outpatient settings, attending and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, engaging in community outreach and educational opportunities surrounding child abuse and neglect, teaching residents and medical students on topics involving child abuse, and preparing and participating for court testimony when indicated. Research opportunities are available if the candidate is interested. Qualifications Completed Pediatric Residency Board certified/Board eligible in General Pediatrics. Departmental Preferences Competency in evaluations of both physical and sexual abuse in children.
