General Pediatrics Assistant/Associate Professor - College of Medicine

This full-time clinician educator position includes clinical care, teaching of residents and medical students, and other academic pursuits, educational and research opportunities. Responsibilities include providing outpatient general pediatrics clinical services for ULPS. Teaching duties entail leading the resident outpatient rotation, including designing and maintaining curriculum, scheduling, and overseeing this rotation. This is a non-tenure position. Responsibilities

Education and teaching, research and clinical care, including supervision of residents and students. Lead the outpatient general pediatrics rotation for pediatric and med-peds residents, including designing and maintaining curriculum, scheduling, and overseeing all aspects of the rotation. Clinical supervision of students, residents, and fellows. May include supervision of advanced practice providers. Qualifications

Requires an MD or equivalent degree Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics Must be able to obtain a State of Tennessee medical license Departmental Preferences

Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics. Clinical and didactic teaching. Opportunities to conduct clinical quality improvement and research projects. Opportunities for leadership in medical education within the division. There are opportunities to provide clinical care in the Healthy Lifestyles Clinic. Knowledge in obesity medicine is preferred; candidate may be certified or open to certification in obesity medicine.
