Senior Project Engineer
to join our Buffalo, NY field office. You\'ll provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and add value by applying proven project management techniques. This role involves coordinating trades and design-field staff, supporting the Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling, change order review, and payment review, as well as assisting with payment applications, meeting minutes, regular reports, and field inspections. You\’ll be based on site with our client, ensuring the project moves ahead to completion according to client standards and contributing to multiple fast-moving and larger, long-scheduled projects. You will monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure QA/QC, safety, and security requirements are met.
Base pay
$85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Engineer, you\'ll: Provide effective project management on active projects to coordinate progression of trades and design-field staff Support the Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling Prepare change order reviews and review payments Assist with payment applications, write meeting minutes, and prepare regular project reports Conduct field inspections and perform other duties related to construction site activities Ensure the project progresses to completion per client standards and maintain QA/QC, safety, and security requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction-related field 10+ years of professional experience on large building construction or civil projects valued above $10 million Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems, and components Experience or training in inspecting large-scale building construction projects Knowledgeable and experienced with Uniform Building Code OSHA 30 certification Proficient with Microsoft Office, CPM schedules, Microsoft Project and P6 Basic computer skills with Windows and Office applications and scheduling tools
Preferred qualifications
Professional certifications such as Construction Manager-in-Training (CMIT) or Engineer in Training (EIT)
